Frame Bag 12 for Bucksaw SM/MD

The Salsa Bucksaw is a versatile bike with it's 4" tires and 100mm of travel that can tame just about any terrain you can throw at it. Sounds like the perfect platform for rough country bikepacking combining the comfort of a full suspension bike with the stability that is offered by fatbikes.  While you are going to be able to carry as much gear as what you could with a rigid frame the Frame Bag 12 is still going to make the best of the space that is available, around 580 cu in.

Salsa''s Frame Bags are made for them by Revelate Designs, a world renowned producer of expedition grade bikepacking gear. The main body of the bag is made from Dimension Polyant VX 42, a woven rip-stop material that was developed for and used as sail cloth for racing yachts. This material is not only lightweight, but also offers excellent resistance to tearing, abrasions and water. Nothing is worse than ruining months of planning your epic bikepacking trip only to have a zipper blow out on day 2 of 7. Salsa Frame Bags use ultra strong YKK zippers with a water resistant coating on the outside to help keep your stuff dry. Finding small items in a black bag can be a real pain, so to give you a hand Revelate Designs sews in a high contrast, bright yellow liner making that presta valve adaptor or other small item easy to find. 

Carrying enough water for a long distance adventures can be a challenge, typically requiring the use of a hydration pack that can get really sweaty in hot weather, not to mention the chaffing that can be caused by the straps. Salsa made sure to include a port for a hydration tube in the Frame Bag 12 which to keep you water bladder of up to 100oz off your back and at the lowest point in the frame where it should be. 

The Frame Bag 12 attaches to your bike via velcro straps to keep it secure and in-place. For those of you that have a Carbon Bucksaw or love the finish on your alloy bike take note this bag WILL scratch the paint especially when used in dusty or muddy conditions. A product like Helicopter tape will keep your bike looking show room new.
