DT Swiss XR 331.XC stands for fast uphills and passing in the downhills. As a result of elaborate finite element analysis, DT Swiss XC rims employ material only where it's needed.
- Intended use is XC race and XC riding
- ERD and weights shown include PHR washers
- Max pressure is 3.5 bar (50 psi)
- Recommended tire size: 1.7" - 2.4"
- 2.0 silver alloy Prolock Squorx Pro Head nipples and PHR washers included
- Same rim as used on DT XR 1501 Spline One wheelsets
- Pro Head Reinforcement System (PHR) has a larger and more spherical contact area and is designed to balance loads transferred to the rim. The PHR system acts like a ball and socket interface allowing the spoke to pivot and follow the perfect trajectory from hub to rim
- The wheel must be built with the supplied PHR washers and Pro Head nipples. The PHR washer must be positioned between the nipple and rim and fit correctly within the radius of the rim. DT Swiss recommends that the contact area between the nipple and PHR washer is greased

This was my first attempt at replacing a bashed rim and I had a good enough experience that I'm looking forward to doing it again. I love these squorx nipples! Being my first time building a wheel, I had to do quite a bit of adjusting and readjusting to make it right. If I were using a screwdriver or spoke wrench, I'm sure I would have had to replace a few nipples. With the E5 bit (to drive the nipples) and some spoke grease, not one nipple looked worse for wear. Aired up tubeless without a problem.

I needed to replace a bent rim on my XR 1501 SPLINE wheel set. DT Swiss told me this is the exact same rim, so I purchased it.
Tree Fort bikes shipped very fast, but it took FedEx a week longer than expected due to COVID.
I re-laced the wheel myself and had my local bike shop true it.
Has been great so far! Very light rim, performs well.
