loubertLet's face it: There are a lot of great rims/wheel sets to chose from these days. I chose these rims, and the 240 hubs, to build my first new road wheels in 15 years. My previous wheels were DT/Hugi hubs w/Mavic Reflex clinchers, and they were still going strong.
The 465 rim laces very taught, and makes for a visually stunning & mechanically superb wheel, for a little less money than the Open 4.
This is a very strong rim, with only one caveat: Tires don't go on as easily as I'm used to with Mavic. But, once mounted, it makes for a superior interface.

nschabackI've been using these rims for several years (I have some from when they were called the RR1.1, some of the current model). They are really fantastic. I use them primarily on the road, laced up to a pair of 32h Chris King hubs, with double butted spokes. But when I rode the Dirty Kanza 200 two weeks ago, I didn't hesitate to put some wider tires on and take them out for 200 miles of gravel.
In my experience, these rims start out very true, so they require little effort to get really true when you're building with them. The double eyelets are nice, and the weight is relatively low. Great for any wheel that doesn't require an extremely wide tire.
