Wolf Tooth has been making their popular Drop-Stop chainrings for a few years now out of aluminum which makes for a light and stiff chainring and is great for XC riding but doesn't hold up all that well when you introduce logs and rocks into your ride. If you prefer durable vs lightweight Wolf Tooth now makes the Drop-Stop chainrings in 416 Stainless Steel.
This version of the stainless steel Drop-Stop chainring is made to work with SRAM cranks that have a removable spider. The 6mm offset is designed to work with GXP and Long Spindle BB30 cranks. Wolf Tooth Stainless Drop-Stop Direct Mount Chainrings can be used with 9/10/11-speed drivetrains but it is recommended that you use a 10-speed chain with a 9-speed drivetrain.
