Just replaced my Byways with these Ventures and really love them. I just took them for their inaugural ride, which was a loaded 20 mile ride of mostly pavement, with with some gravel and a few miles of dirt at the end. I feel a lot more in control on dirt with the extra tread on these, and there's no awkwardness when making turns on pavement (the transition to the knobs on the outside of the tire feels much more natural). Even though these shine most on dirt, they didn't feel sluggish on pavement, and I only could really hear the tread on the road when I was going downhill at 30 mph.
Got them seated with an airshot with just a single attempt, and there hasn't been any sidewall sealant weeping. I think they are a solid "goldilocks" tire (not too knobby, not too smooth) for mixed terrain and gravel/dirt riding.
