The
Ice Cream Truck Fork is made from the same custom blended and butted 4130 CroMoly as the
Surly Ice Cream Truck fat bike. This version of the
Ice Cream Truck Fork has dropouts designed to work with a 135mm spaced hub that uses a rear offset brake mount. This fork will not work with hubs that are 135mm with front brake spacing. You will also need to use a disc mount designed for front brakes. Confused about this?
Surly has a handy write up about what to use
here.
The
Surly Ice Cream Truck is designed for adventure and the fork features mounts to help you carry additional gear. The braze-ons on the
Ice Cream Truck fork allow you to run a front rack, fenders and disc brakes at the same time. With the
Ice Cream Truck being in both the touring and fat bike line-ups for
Surly you know it has to be able to run racks and it does.
Surly includes upper, mid and lower braze-ons and with 2 sets of 3-bolt Anything Cage mounts. The lower braze-ons are placed so that they do not interfere with the disc caliper.
Surly's long-standing motto is FFF (Fatties Fit Fine) so you should expect this fork to fit larger tires, and it does, up to 26x5.25"
- Replacement fork for Surly Ice Cream Truck Ops and Pugsley
- Traditional upper/mid/lower braze-ons and 2 sets of 3-bolt water bottle mounts
- Clearance for 26x5.25" tires
