105 5750 Compact Crankset, 50/34t
The little brother of
Shimano's high end road cranks has really come into its own in the most recent generation of
105 Cranks. Featuring Hollowtech II crankarms and Hyperglide ramped and pinned chainrings, it shifts nearly as well as the Ultegra or Dura-Ace cranks with just a bit of a weight increase. If you''re a beginning competitive road cyclist,
Shimano''s 105 is one of the best componentry lines money can buy, hands down.
- 7075 aluminum Hyperglide chainrings with ramps and pins
- Hollowtech II bottom bracket spindle and crank arms for increased stiffness and reduced weight
- Ultegra CN-6701 and 105 CN-5701 chains are recommended for use in conjunction with Ultegra 6700-G and 105 5700 cranksets
- Weighs in at 805g

Can I pair thte 5750 50-34 crankset with a CS-HG81 11-36 cassette?
A.
anwered by: tplizga
It would technically work together but it would not work optimally. A chain that would have to be long enough to fit the 50 to 36 would have way to much chain when your in your lowest gears.

what is the q-factor for 105 compact crank
A.
anwered by: canteau
It is right around 150mm like most Shimano or SRAM double cranks, but your true Q factor is going to be ultimately determined by your pedal spindles and cleat placement.

Will this crank work with an otherwise Campagnolo drivetrain?
A.
anwered by: canteau
Will it work, yes...Will it work well, no. Campagnolo 10-speed drivetrains use a chain that is closer in width to a Shimano 9-speed chain than a Shimano 10-speed chain. The wider chain is going to create more chain noise and could result in short chainring life.
Personally I would recommend a Campagnolo or aftermarket crankset designed for Campagnolo drivetrains.
