The only issues we have had with these rims are when people try to run tires tubeless on them. Salsa explicitly warns against tubeless use.
You may want to check the lip of the rim for sharp edges, it is possible that the rim wasn't rolled right when it was produced.

Best 26 inch 48 hole rims I have rode. Super light, strong and ready for anything!

I may be in the minority, but I love the look/profile/finish of this rim. More anthracite in color than the ubiquitous current jet-black versions from Mavic/DT/Velocity. Yes, it's heavier than the typical racing rim, but its most accurate competition - the Velocity "Cliffhanger" - is only about 50 grams lighter. Blame the (essential) eyelets.
The 27mm width means ANY tire goes on with ease, and the 2.1 width a perfect match. The finish on these rims first rate. They are incredibly stiff, with a very nice weld & perfect braking surfacing.
If you want a tough rim, capable of a lot of load and punishment, with set-it-and-forget-it reliability, this is your rim.
