I want to use this on a 2011 Kona unit. The factory fork is 462 axle to crown, 45voffset. Is this fork a suitable replacement having a longer A to C measurement? Wondering how to ride. My reason for replacing is I want a fork with bottle mounts.
Thanks
A.
anwered by: mhutch
You would need to check with Kona about the extended Axle to Crown measurement. Frames are often designed around a particular length fork and a longer fork could exert forces on the headtube beyond what the frame is designed for.

I have a 2011 cannondale flash. I would like to convert to a ridged fork. Would this fork work ?
A.
anwered by: canteau
The axle to crown of the Salsa Firestarter fork is 483mm, you would want to compare that to your stock suspension fork.
You will also want to factor in the amount of sag which is typically 15-25% of the travel.

Would this be a good fork for a 2008 trek 69er project?
A.
anwered by: canteau
The Firestarter fork would be a great option for running rigid on the Trek, you will just want to make sure to match up the axle to crown lengths to make sure you preserve the geometry.

Would this be a good replacement for a Masi Giramondo 700? The stock fork has goofey mount
A.
anwered by: canteau
The Firestarter fork would be too tall for the Masi Giramondo. You might be able to use a Vaya fork depending the rake of the stock fork vs the Vaya fork.
