Salsa's Firestarter Carbon fork is designed to be a more versatile carbon mountain fork, beefed up for backcountry travel and offering Anything Cage mounts that also accept standard bottle cages.
The Firestarter Carbon is suspension corrected to 100mm travel, keeping most stock geometries intact, and is designed specifically for the 2014 Salsa Fargo. This fork also implements a tapered steertube, and uses a 15mm thru-axle.

The steerer tube will fit on the Vaya, but the fork has a lot taller axle to crown (485mm vs 405mm) which will throw off the handling of the bike especially if you run a 29er tire.
