Beargrease Carbon GX Eagle 27.5 - DEMO

This attention to detail guarantees that your bike will be easy to assemble on arrival. Please note that most bikes do not come with pedals. To make the most of your new bike right away, be sure to select a pair of pedals when checking out and we will include them with the build!Beargrease was designed to bring fat bikes from expedition steeds to winner circle champs. Unlike the Salsa Mukluk that is designed to get you and your stuff there, Beargrease is designed to get you there as quick as you possibly can. For 2018 the Salsa Beargrease Carbon gets larger wheels and now comes with 27.5x3.8" tires. If you prefer a tire with more volume, the 2018 Beargrease Carbon can still be used with 26x4.6" tires on 80mm wide rims.

Beargrease Carbon models use a full carbon frame with a 12x177mm rear spacing and Press Fit 41 x 121mm bottom bracket shell. The High-Modulus carbon frame construction saves around 350g vs the alloy model (based on a medium frame). Matched to the carbon frame is a Salsa Makwa full carbon fork with 15x150mm spacing and the same axle to crown measurement as a Rock Shox Bluto 100mm suspension fork.

One of the biggest questions we get is what size tire will the Beargrease fit? While it will vary slightly at the upper end of the size spectrum tires in the size ranges below should fit without an issue.

Beargrease Carbon GX Eagle complete fat bike features a SRAM GX 1x12 drivetrain with SRAM Level T disc brakes. For wheels, the 2018 Salsa Beargrease GX Eagle fat bike rolls on 85mm wide carbon HED Big Deal 27.5 wheels.
