asked by: a guest Are you able to fit anything bigger than a 4.0 rear tire with this frame?
A.
anwered by: canteau The frame will clear up to a 4.6" tire with a 1x drivetrain. With the stock 2x drivetrain anything larger than 4.0" could cause chain/tire rub issues.

asked by: a guest Can it convert to a single speed
A.
anwered by: canteau To convert the Salsa Beargrease fat bike to single speed you would need to replace the front chainring, add a spacer kit and cog and use a chain tensioner like the Paul Melvin or Surly Singulator.

asked by: a guest Would you consider this a good entry level fat tire bike for a beginner?
A.
anwered by: canteau Yes, the alloy Beargrease is a great point to start as it shares the same geometry as the more expensive carbon models for excellent handling.
