2012 Selma Ti Single Speed 29er Frame

The Salsa Selma Ti is Salsa's premire single speed 29er. They start with Salsa''s ever popular El Mariachi geometry that has become a favorite among endurance athletes around the country. Then unlike the steel El Mariachi, the Selma Ti loses it''s derailleur cable guides and gets welded in the United States and to show off that craftsmanship an industrial milled finish with etched graphics complete the package.

The 3/2.5 seamless titanium tubes are custom designed for each size and features a biaxially ovalized downtube to increase stiffness for pedaling efficiency while maintaining a smooth ride.

The Salsa Alternator dropouts make chain tensioning easy and effective. They also make installing the rear wheel a snap when compared to horizontal drop outs.

There are a few things to keep in mind when building an Selma Ti that may be different from other bikes that you may have built in the past.

• The Head Tube on the Selma Ti is 44mm, which means you can run either a straight 1-1/8" fork with a Zero Stack headset or one of the newer tapered forks with a Zero Stack Upper Cup and an External 44mm 1.5 lower cup.
• Titanium frames cold weld them selves to aluminum. Use a product such as Finishline Ti Prep anywhere these materials meet.
• Forks should be 80-100mm if a suspension is used or corrected to that if a ridgid fork is used.
