The Casseroll is a road bike designed for real people. Real people ride on roads that aren''t velodrome smooth, real people can''t take the day off because of rain so there is room for fenders, real people would rather take in the view on a Sunday ride and not just the wheel of the guy in front of you so the Casseroll sits you up a little higher. Real people need to carry sh*t so they included a front rack and mounts for a rear.
The Casseroll uses Salsa''s Discover geometry which gives the bike a relaxed but not sluggish fit. The Casseroll is a great bike for use on long supported tours, where gear hauling isn''t needed such as the Ragbrai.
The Casseroll can fit up to 38c tires with clearance for mud, so if dirt roads are on your route, there is no need for a detour. The added clearance along with cantilever brakes makes the Casseroll super fender friendly.
The included matching front rack is perfect for a camera bag to capture the memories of a great ride or dinner on your way home.
The drop-outs on the Casseroll are classic semi-horizontal so the frame can be setup as internally geared, singlespeed or fixed if derailleurs aren''t your thing.

- If you live in the Continental US, Standard Ground Shipping is Free!
- If you happen to live in Alaska, Hawaii or Canada Standard Ground Shipping is $90
- Due to the size limitations most bikes are unable to be shipped to APO''s through USPS.
- If you would like a faster method than ground please contact us for an accurate quote and keep in mind while we try to get the bikes boxed the day they are ordered, during peak service times there maybe a delay of a day or 2.

Salsa Makes rack straps that would work, which can be found by searching for this part #333222378286.
You could also use small bungee cords which can be found at most auto stores or home centers.

I'm not exactly a world championship bike reviewer, but there are a couple of things I could mention.
I bought this bike as a graduation present for my daughter, and it is extremely attractive. I took a ride on it and was impressed enough with the overall quality of ride and finish that I am thinking of buying one for myself.
Comfortable, handles nicely, and would be a pleasure to own for the long haul, I'd think.
Nothing extreme or on the performance bleeding edge, just a really nice bike, especially for the money.
On top of that, and the main reason I took the time to write a review, was the quality of the experience at Tree Fort Bikes. This was my first purchase from them and it was pleasant from start to finish.
When the bike arrived there was a brake cable adjuster which had been bent during shipping. The brakes still worked but it would have been impossible to adjust them.
One phone call to Tree Fort Bikes, and the problem was taken care of pleasantly and with no hassle whatsoever; with a new part being shipped here immediately. It is the kind of service which used to be the norm in this country, but which has become all too rare.
