1x drivetrain dedication by design, this is SRAM's XX1 line. Simple. Light. Durable. Less is more.
Featuring a wide, 11-speed gear range of 10-42t--without sacrificing optimized, even steps. A single-unit cassette made with SRAM''s X-Dome technology, it requires an XD driver body (currently only SRAM and DT Swiss options exist) which provides superior wheel connection.
Requires an XD driver body, 6-8g lighter on average
X-Dome technology in manufacturing allows for extreme precision and strength with extremely low weight. An open design helps mud clearance--keeping shifting clean and maximizing component life.
The XD driver body is a new cassette driver body design which allows the use of a 10t cog. It improves the overall interface with the cassette''s bearing design, steadies the ratchet mechanism, and produces overall increased stability in the hub connection.
Awesome, just awesome! I can't believe I waited so long to switch. I believe it is lighter than the XTR cassette I had, looks pretty slick, shifts amazing and seems to stay clean a lot better as well.
The price can be a bit steep but considering it is made out of tool steel apparently it is supposed to last 4 times longer than an aluminum cassette, time will tell but so far I am hopeful.
The back end of the bike seems lighter as well, not sure the weight loss between the Hub Driver and the cassette but I feel I can pop the rear wheel up much easier than before (not that it took much effort).
If I had a 2nd bike, I'd be putting this on it as well!
