Quality Wheels Fat Rear Wheel features a
Formula rear hub laced to the tubeless ready
Sun Ringle MuleFut 80 rim. This is the same rear wheel found on the NX1 builds of the 2018 Salsa Beargrease Carbon fat bike and will fit on previous generations of the Salsa Beargrease.
The
Sun Ringle MuleFut 80 rim is
tubeless ready but will require a rim strip, tubeless tape, and valves which aren't included. At 80mm wide the
MuleFut will handle
27.5 tires from 3.5-5" wide.
27.5x3.8" tires will work on most
26" fat bikes that have clearance for a 26x4.4" tire.
The included Formula hub comes out of the box with Q/R and includes end caps to convert to thru axle. The
170mm hub works with
177mm spaced frames when the thru-axle end caps are installed.
190mm hubs work with
197mm frames with the thru end caps installed. Shimano compatible freehub body will work with
SRAM/Shimano 8-10-speed cassettes and
