Great kit if you are versed enough to tackle your own build up. I did not have a cassette tool with this and am a bit bummed about it but everything else is there. I just rebuilt my bike completely this weekend and had no issues with this kit.

There's bound to be some things you'll need missing from this set if you look hard enough. But it does have the most common tools needed by the home user, especially for doing routine maintenance and cleaning, and for me it's a great start. The quality of the tools is very good, and for a novice like myself, just getting to know what some of these things are supposed to do is half the battle. I keep finding tools that I have to look up to learn more about. Fortunately a booklet describing each tool is enclosed, and the Parks Tool web site is a great resource which covers almost every aspect of wrenching.

Perfect starter set and then some. Don't waste your money on the generics...Go with Park Tools and save in the long run.

Very good starter set at a great price. Cone wrenches seem sooo thin, but all the pros use them, so perhaps they're tougher than they look. Other tools are obviously well machined and look like they will last for years. The plastic "tackle box" furnished with the kit will be a pain to fish tools out of, especially as it fills with new tools, but I guess they won't get lost in the box. A tool roll made just for Park tools would be a 1000% improvement--something you could hang from a nail while you worked on your bike.
