Anything Cage with Straps
When
Salsa created the
Anything Cage, it changed the way that gear was carried on the front of your bike. You no longer needed to use large front racks, that are fine for a road
touring, but when it comes to
bikepackingand off the beaten path travels they become a little too cumbersome. The
Anything Cages allow you to carry roundish shaped objects nice and low on the front forks for excellent control offroad.
- Compatible with 2011 and newer Fargo and Enabler forks

- Includes straps
- 3kg / 6.6lb weight limit

I've read mixed reviews about mounting to the water bottle mounts--that they're really designed for front forks. I have a Trek 1120 (3 hole mount). Will this work?

We aren't a Trek dealer so I can't speak for the Trek 3 bolt mounting system, but the Salsa Anything Cage mounts fine on the downtube of Salsa bikes like the Fargo that have 3-bolt mounts.
You don't want to attach them to bikes with a standard 2-bolt mounting point unless you secure the 3rd point with something like a hose clamp.
