Got these tires (2.3 folding) after reading the excellent reviews on MTB magazines. I had Specialized Captain tires that are excellent as far as rolling resistance is concerned but would slip and slide on loose over hard surfaces. The Psycho Genius are a lot better than the Captains for climbing and cornering. It does have more rolling resistance when I roll on cement but probably does not affect actual riding on the trails. Grips well on rocks as well as sandy courses like the Sea Otter. I have ridden in muddy areas and they seem to shed mud well. I bought Stan's but haven't used them with these tires yet since I might be changing wheelsets soon. Glad I bought these over Nevegals that eveyone seem to roll on. Reviews of others seem to prefer these over the Nevs anyway.

Just purchased my second pair from tree fort bikes. This is a great tire that rolls well and has excellent traction. Even though the tire is not tubless, running with Stans and it has worked great. I use the 2.3 for endurance races. Would highly recommend if you want a tire that is going to hook up on the trail.
