Iclic Carbon Carboflex Clipless Pedals

If you have owned a pair of Impac (time) road pedals and liked them, you will like these. The "click" sound from engagement is almost delicate sounding but the feel is very secure. I have been able to incorrectly engage the pedals at least once a ride (avg ride 50-90 miles) but it is so obvious when your foot is in wrong that you can tell right away. No hint of any squeak noises that plagued my old Impac pedals. Having put about 200-300 miles on them I have to say I like them alot. The float is just enough for me and there are adjustsments you can make on the cleat itself to tweak it to your needs. Power transfer feels very solid and I haven't had any hotspot issues as of yet. I was also able to add my homemade shim without any issues, just used longer bolts from my old pedals. Previous pedals used, speedplays (great but too much float for me, original type) also had alot of hotspot issues with them, Time Impac, solid platform but wear out quick and squeak alot.

I have ridden Time pedals all my life and this is my second pair of iClics. Overall I have had good luck with them - they are easier to engage than the RXS models but I will say I occasionally get a "partial" engagement that requires me to uncliip and then reclip to engage properly and this is apparently a common complaint. The wear from plastic on plastic can be pretty drastic especially if you ride in muck but I can say overall I like the pedals or I would not hav purchased a second pair . . . .
