HD-E5140 E-Bike Disc Brake

Tektro HD-E5140 E-Bike Disc Brake is a purpose-built hydraulic disc brake designed for the higher speeds and added mass of e-bikes, pairing a new 4-piston caliper with an integrated power cut-off sensor for clean motor interruption when braking.

• 4-piston caliper - Increased pad contact area for stronger, more consistent braking under sustained e-bike loads
• Quick connection power cut-off sensor - Makes it easier to integrate brake-actuated motor cut-off; includes new EJ1 200mm sensor cable
• 2.5-finger lever blade - Longer lever feel for control and leverage, especially with gloves or on long descents
• One-piece clamp - Stiffer, cleaner lever mounting to help reduce unwanted flex at the bar
• 85mm lever reach - Clear fit reference for setup and replacement compatibility
• Universal oil route - Simplifies hose routing and service on a wide range of e-bike frames
• 2.3mm rotor thickness compatibility - Designed around thicker rotors commonly used for e-bike braking loads
• New reservoir cap - Updated lever hardware for straightforward service access

E-bike compatibility: Includes a Tektro EJ1 quick-connect motor cutoff sensor with a 200mm cable. Designed for e-bike systems compatible with the Tektro EJ1 connection. If replacing a brake from another manufacturer, verify that the connector and electrical signal are compatible with your e-bike system as they are not universal.
