Would these work for a 650B conversion on an old Raleigh 27in bike? Reach is good.

A 650B's rim radius is appx. 23 mm shorter
27" = 630 mm
650B = 584 mm
Therefore add 23 mm to your stock reach caliper. To find the reach of your stock calipers measure from the mounting hole diagonally down to the middle of the brake pad. You may be able to find the reach "range" stamped into the back of the original caliper.
For instance my stock '84 Bianchi (27") uses 43-57 mm stock calipers therefore I would add 23 mm to 43-57 which would give me a new reach of 66-80 mm.
The reach of these calipers are 70-88 mm and therefore should work if the original pads are not located in the very top of the calipers adjustment slot.
You will need to confirm this by measuring or verifying your stock calipers brake r

Without seeing the bike, I really couldn't say. Since Raleigh used a lot of proprietary parts on a lot of their bikes through the years, sizing is sometimes a little hard.
