Yes, the trek 1.5 uses a short pull caliper brake, and these would work fine.

These brakes look awesome, I have the white ones. They are superlight and have great stopping power. They were very easy to install and only took a few minutes. They have not moved or needed adjustments after 100 miles of use.

Summed up: Tree fort bikes had the best price and free shipping for these TRP brakes. I did a lot of research and found TFB as the best.

I bough these brakes back in June of 2011. I decided to replace the tektro junkers that came on my supersix after some butt-pucker moments on a particularly fast and disorganized group ride. I after searching through shimano and sram's catalogs (and nearly springing for a Force set at my LBS) I turned to TFB and found this incredible deal. These brakes are awesome. Thesy stop fast and are very linear. The pads don't churn up a ton of brake dust, and the paint (I have the white calipers) has held up to a lot of abuse. Brake feel is great, you can easily stop from 20mph using a finger. You can't ask for much more from a brake and you can't find a better deal than this.
