HY/RD Mechanical/Hydraulic Post Mount Brake

TRP HY/RD disc brake calipers bring the stopping power and added control of a hydraulic disc brake system, without the added expense of replacing your dual control shifter/brake levers. TRP HY/RD brakes are designed to be used with and are compatible with all short pull brake levers. HY/RD brakes will not work with long pull mountain style levers.

The advantages of a hydraulic system over a traditional mechanical disc brake are the fact that they "pinch" the rotor from both brake pads vs "pushing" the outboard pads into the inboard pads,  hydraulic brakes are also self-adjusting to make up for pad wear. 

The included disc brake pads with the TRP HY/RD are made from a resin compound with metal fibers and are compatible will all rotors, including rotors that are labeled as resin pad only.
