Newer than the New hubs, these are the
Surly Ultra New hubs. Our first question was, what will they name then next ones? But then we noticed that these have the same 6061-T6 forged hub shell as the New hubs, and 6901 superhard bearings. What's
Ultra New are the 4130 CroMoly axle and stainless steel cones, these use a shouldered axle and aggressively knurled cones that allow these hubs to be completely adjustment free and simple to service.
Rear hubs are available in 32h Fix/Free and a new 48h Fix/Fix or Free/Free version.

The Surly hub is designed to work with a single speed freewheel only and is not compatible with multi-speed cassettes.

do you have somthing like this that will work for 700c 38mm 7sp freewheel
A.

We don't carry anything in a hub for a multi speed freewheel. You may want to look at getting a cassette hub and 7-speed cassette with a spacer. For high mileage use it is going to be a lot more reliable and your options will be almost limitless.
