Its straightforward, load-friendly design supports traditional racks and panniers, modern frame bags, or a hybrid setup—making it a practical choice for riders who want one bike that can handle planned miles and unplanned detours.

1. 100% Surly Chromoly frame - A durable steel platform for daily riding and loaded travel; the double-butted main triangle balances strength with sensible weight.
2. Chromoly 1-1/8" threadless fork - Steel fork adds confidence and reliability for real-world touring use, with a familiar, serviceable threadless setup.
3. Wide tire clearance - Fits 700 x 47mm tires with or without fenders, or 27.5 x 2.8" for added comfort and traction; with fenders, clearance supports 27.5 x 2.6".
4. Disc brake-specific frame - Designed around disc brakes for consistent braking control in wet weather, long descents, and under load.
5. Single-position vertical rear dropout - Keeps setup and wheel changes straightforward, reducing the intimidation factor often associated with adventure and touring builds.
6. Rack, fender, and three-pack mounts - Includes rack and fender mounts plus four sets of three-pack mounts for versatile cargo placement across racks, cages, and bags.
