Its updated trail geometry is designed around a 140mm fork for stability when speeds rise, while the steel frame keeps the ride controlled and durable for season-after-season trail use.

A key differentiator is Surly’s DUH dropout system, which keeps future drivetrain options open: riders can run it as a clean single speed today, then reconfigure for a geared setup later with SRAM UDH compatibility or Full-Mount drivetrain support by swapping dropout chips. Add in an approachable fit range with generous standover and dropper post insertion, and the Sorceress becomes a practical choice for riders who want a capable trail hardtail without constant tinkering.
