In classic Surly style, Surly made the Nice Rack to be sturdy, utilitarian, and at least a little bit stylish. Constructed from super sturdy CroMoly steel, the nice rack fits great on bikes with frame eyelets and wheels between 26" and 29" in size. It accomplishes this amazing feat by featuring adjustable mounts that slide in and out of the rack frame to accommodate just about whatever wheels and tires you wanna use. The Surly Nice Rack is neat. 'Nuff said.

This rack is the best! 80lb capacity. Zero wobble. I also have the Surley front nice rack which is even more incredible. A bit heavy, but can haul more than the rest.

Well made rack, very durable. Since the rack is all flat black, would have preferred the 2 rods used to connect rack to lower seat frame area to also be flat black. This would be my only dislike.
I'm very pleased with this rack, its worth the money, its strong, sturdy and works perfectly with the Ortlieb panniers I purchased. I like it so much my girlfriend got one as well. Assembly took a little longer than expected but the second one I fitted took no time at all.

A great rack. I just put this on my All City Gorilla Monsoon and couldn't be happier. Everything came packaged well and in great condition. There are instructions, but it's really intuitive. Once installed, the rack is perfectly stable and capable of holding anything practical. I'll be using it to haul my sleeping gear for bikepacking trips, since I have a dropper post.
If you buy this rack be aware that there is not easy way to mount a tail light because most are seat post mounted. I have emailed derby@surlybikes.com several times asking what light the mount was designed for and have never gotten a response. Makes me wonder what other surprised their other item have. I will never know because I will never buy Surly again.
As usual Tree Fort delivered the item fast and tried to resolve this issue when Surly would not.
