Surly's burly line of tubular Chromoly steel racks have been used on expeditions all over this planet for years. This version here fits on many of Surly''s forks (and some other manufacturers'' forks as well!). It features all the stainless-steel mounting hardware you need for installation, handily housed in a reusable Surly Tool Bag. It''s both height adjustable and can fit a wide selection of wheel sizes, allowing you to keep the center of gravity as low as possible for a stable ride.
- Tubular CroMoly rack, stainless steel and aluminum hardware
- Not compatible with 135mm or wider spaced forks
- Lower plates redesigned to add strength and increase clearance for disc calipers
- Pannier support area: 121 inches cubed, per side
- Surface finish: phosphate coated inside and out, powder coated exterior
- UniCrown plate no longer included, only comes with Lower and Upper plates

The Surly Front Rack 2.0 does require a fork with eyelets at the dropout and mid-blade.

We've mounted this front rack on multiple bikes; though we have never had a Big Easy at the store for any reason to mount one. The rack has multiple fitment pieces for various bike-packing, touring, and disc forks. It should have no issues being mounted, and like Surly's other racks, it can also take a TV-Tray.

It's hard to tell based on the Jamis photos of the bike. You can compare the mounting points on your bike with the required mounting points outlined in the Surly instructions here:

It depends on the age of the Long Haul Trucker, older versions do not have the required eyelets. Surly does have a guide to show which models work with which racks.

The Surly Front Rack will fit Salsa Fargo models that have the mid-blade mount.
Some of the Fargo models that had the carbon fork did not had a mid-blade mount.

You shouldn't need any additional hardware, but it will depend on the fork it is being mounted to. Surly does make the installation instructions available online here:

This rack is so solid. It was a good purchase. Installation may require trying a few different orientations for the mounting brackets. Offers up to three different hanging points for panniers. I got it so I can put panniers below and a basket up top. It works beautifully and is not too heavy.
