The Surly Big Dummy. Designed to transport a rider and up to 200 pounds of cargo (even a passenger or two), the Big Dummy retains an extremely smooth and maneuverable ride.
- 100% Surly 4130 chromoly steel, canti and disc brake compatible; fork is suspension corrected for 80mm
- Fender eyelets, triple water bottle mounts, and Surly Trip Guides for continuous brake/shift housing or brake hydraulic lines
- XtraCycle deck and accessories are NOT included
- Length of the frame requires 2 chains and tandem cables
- 26 x 2.5" maximum tire clearance; absolutely no limitation on chainring sizes
- WEIGHT LIMIT: 400 lbs. combined rider&cargo

I have one of the older swooping top bar models, and it came in an army green...seen that color enough in my life (army brat) so I had it stripped and powder coated royal blue. Built by my Jedi Master Jay (Bike Lane, Burke VA) this bike is a life changer. Wether it is a long cruise in VA beach with my daughter on the back (she calls it riding Droid) hauling groceries, towing a bike to the shop, or even light single tracking...this is my favorite bike in the stable. I do recommend fat tires on it, (I run Fat Franks and love them) as when you add 50-100 lbs of cargo pinch flats could be an issue with a thiner tire.
