The Straggler is Surly's long-awaited disc-only cross/utilitarian/commuter/what-the-____-ever bike. It''s a lot like Surly''s Cross Check, but it skips the rim brake mounts and tweaks with frame geometry and features, onboarding some pretty cool dropouts and sensible dropout spacing. Departing from the Cross Check, Straggler dropouts are a partially-closed horizontal design, made to work real nice and snug with singlespeed or geared drivetrains, including stop screws threading in from the back of the dropout to better keep the wheel in place and to produce most optimal shifting. More, the Straggler is going to bring you 135mm rear dropout spacing, as opposed to the Cross Check''s 132.5mm -- Surly kept in mind that you''ll just find a lot more options for disc hubs by working with that 135mm standard. 

You should also know that the stock build of the Straggler comes with Surly''s all-new 700c x 41mm Knard tires, which adds another unique layer to its distinction from the Cross Check. Them Knards be Knaaarly!
