I am trying to upgrade the tires on my 1980s-vintage Bridgestone T700 "touring" bike, and would like the widest tires possible. There are currently 700x28c tires on it and it looks like there's around 4-5mm extra clearance, but I'm not entirely certain. Is there any reference out there where I could confirm that this size would fit?

I would say that we would have to know the rim size/which rim it was so we could know what the biggest recommend size tire it could handle. Feel free to email us at
