anwered by: mlewis MTB stands for Mountain Bike, which is how these chainrings are classified in our catalog. They will work for mountain or road though, provided they fit your cranks and match the rest of your drivetrain.

asked by: a guest Would this work for a Surly KM SS as an urban commuter? Any rec on a good wheelset?
A.
anwered by: smulder Really the compatibility depends on the crank's BCD and arm count. It will work if the crank has a 110 BCD and is 5-bolt. How well it works for you for commuting is another story. It will be a harder gear and should work fine if you don't like high cadence spinning. I for one love larger front rings and love pushing hard on a gear on my track bike. Some people prefer higher cadence. It really depends on the person. Anyone with a different opinion... feel free to chime in!
