Ambush 3 Mountain Helmet

The Specialized Ambush 3 is a helmet built for riders who want serious trail protection without the bulk and heat of a heavier enduro helmet. Specialized focused the Ambush 3 on ventilation, comfort, and a secure fit, combining its AirCage structure with the Mips Air Node Pro system to create a helmet that can move a tremendous amount of air while maintaining the structure needed for protection. The result is a compact, lightweight trail helmet that is particularly well suited to long rides, technical trails, and hot weather.

The 4D Cooling system uses a dedicated Mouthport along with internal channels to pull air through the helmet and exhaust heat out the rear. This makes ventilation one of the standout features of the Ambush 3, especially when climbing or riding in warm conditions.

Fit is handled by the BOA FS1 Fit System, which provides fine micro-adjustment with a 360 degree wrap around the head. A FIDLOCK magnetic buckle makes securing the helmet quick and easy, while the TriFix retention system and replaceable soft padding help keep the fit comfortable throughout the ride.

The Ambush 3 also includes a four position breakaway visor that can be adjusted to block the sun while leaving room for eyewear and other accessories. Integrated eyewear storage keeps glasses secure when they are not being worn.
