Pretty straightforward. A robust piece of mostly (60%) hemp fabric with a lock loop sewn in (to thwart theft of the protector) overlaying a length of hardware store foam pipe insulator. The only complaint is that the two are not attached, so the foam piece will ride out of the cover a bit at the ends. Fixed that with some ShoeGoo, though. Bottom line: it works.
