asked by: a guest Will classic ortlieb back rollers work on this?
anwered by: mwirth While the would be able to attach at the top of the rack, you would need to get creative when attaching them at the bottom. I’m not sure if I’d love a fully weighted down set of Ortliebs on this rack.

Summed up: Great economic rack. Powder coated finish. not anodized.

I installed this on a Kona Jake (cyclocross/commuter bike) to support a Wald 137 basket for carrying take out food, a jacket, or other smallish items.
I like that it has light mounts, but since I'm strapping a basket on top, I won't be using them with my current light. I will if I get a dynamo light.
Spacers were included for mounting to eyelets on the rear side of the fork, so the rack stays clear the fork. Unfortunately my aluminum fork has some thick welds so I needed even more spacers and longer bolts, but it worked out.
My only real complaint is that I had to cut my fender since the rack isn't tall enough to clear them. I can attach a piece of plastic or something to provide coverage, but I lose that if I remove the rack. If it were about 10mm taller it would have been perfect. I run 700x32 tires with 45mm wide fenders for reference. If you have something smaller it may not be an issue.
Only other thing I don't like is the color. Wish it was black or polished, rather than painted silver.
Otherwise it is a great value, easy to set up, and has the versatility of carrying panniers, a basket, or a handlebar bag, and has the light mounts.
