I've never really liked the swoop headed, nerdy looking typical bike helmets. I bought my first Dirt Lid 2 years ago after a scary crash. I've had several more since and took some good hits on my head. The last accident I had a few months ago actually cracked the lining. This spill probably would have killed or done serious damage had it not been for my trusty Dirt Lid. It now has a place of honor on the shelf in our bike room. I shopped for prices and found Tree Fort had the best price on the web. I remove all the stickers (fingernail and alcohol) and give my helmet a good waxing. I am very pleased with my new helmet. Shipping was as stated and I'm now riding safely again without looking like a swoop headed, spandex wearing dork. I ride a pedicab most every weekend and have had many compliments on my red Dirt Lid. I wouldn't and don't ride without it.
