XTR SL-M970A Right 9spd Shifter

I purchased this shifter to mate with my XTR derailler,chain and XT cassette. I have owned several different setups but this is my first higher end drive train combo and man is it nice!! The shifter is silky smooth looks nice and just feels good. It also has a position adjustment so you can fine tune it's location if you are tight on bar space. Also, comes with a high end cable but no housing.

This is a very nice quality 9-speed shifter. I had to move to a Shimano chain in order for it to work well with my new Shimano cassette (an SRAM chain did not work well with this shifter), but that's not a fault of this shifter. I like its ergonomics too. Only time will tell about its durability.

Looks great sitting under XTR brakes. Has a very nice feature that lets you shift two harder gears (smaller cogs) with one pull of an index finger or push of your thumb sram style. During the pull, it is separated by a distinct click that lets you know you shifted into one gear and moving onto the next. It will also let you shift up to 4 gears at a time when going into easier gears (larger cogs) but its a long push, almost to the point where you are twisting your entire wrist. Currently matched with Shimano Saints without any compatibility issues. Nice piece of BLING.
