asked by: a guest are you able to run a 1/8" chain with this cassette
A.
anwered by: mlewis You can, just keep in mind the wider chain could result in more drivetrain noise and wear. We recommend staying with a 3/32" chain for best performance.

I've seen better, but it's nice and silent while coasting... It was worth the money and it was cheap. I hope it lasts a long time. Made in Japan. Shimano. Probably the best bet for the bargain shopper.
This thing is silent which is a great deal when coasting, making your ride stealthy. I upgraded all of my freewheels from ACS to the Shimano due to the ACS freewheels making a "clacking" noise while you would spin the cranks. This Shimano is smooth, out of the low-mid range freewheels this is the best followed by the loud and obnoxious but rebuildable White Industries freewheels.
Great freewheel for the price. It's nearly silent. Highly recommend replacing it in conjunction with your chain and chainring so they can wear together.
