HG500 10-Speed Cassette - Compact Road Gearing

Shimano's HG500 10-speed cassette is a Tiagra level cassette featuring Shimano''s Hyperglide tooth design for smooth even shifts even while shifting under load. The steel cogs on the HG500 have been nickel plated for corrosion resistance and to reduce friction. They have been drilled and cut to reduce excess weight where it''s not needed. The compact gearing cassettes come in the 2 following gear ranges:

• 11-25t: 11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-23-25t
• 12-28t: 12-13-14-15-17-19-21-23-25-28t 

To install the HG500 cassette you will need a lockring tool such as the Park FR-5, and if you have an existing cassette on the wheel you will also need a chainwhip like the Park SR-11 chain whip.
