With every new generation of Shimano's Dura Ace group comes a new pedal that improves on the previous pedal but still provides the solid dependable performance that Shimano is known for. 

The new SH-12 "blue" cleats have less play in them than the older SH-11 "yellow" cleats but aren''t as ridged as the SH-10 "red" cleats with 0 degrees of float. The PD-9000 will work with the older cleat designs and the new SH-12 cleats will work with the older pedals.

Optionally for improved fit Shimano will offer the SM-SH20 SPD-SL shim kit which will allow you to adjust the stack height of the pedals to compensate for variances in limb or foot length.  

• Carbon fiber outer body with a wide, stable platform design without affecting cornering clearance 
• 3-bearing axle system and stainless steel body cover / cleat glide-plate 
• Single-sided binding engagement with adjustable cleat tension
