In the 7/8 speed crankset category the Alivio is becoming the go to repair part. With so many 7 or 8 speed mountain bikes being neglected for so long these cranks are a staple in our repair department. The Octalink V2 interface is a step above the JIS square tapered versions from the 90's since they will won''t slip and ovalise as easily. Their shift system uses Shimano''s patented Hyperdrive for better pick-up on shifts and quieter shifting. Great for the recreational mountain category

You'll want to measure your bottom bracket shell prior to ordering with calipers or a metric ruler. It'll be either 68mm or 73mm.

Can't beat this triple crankset for the price. Works great on 8 speed mountain bikes. I got the splined version which worked perfect with my existing octalink BB.
