The move to 27.5" wheels with clearance for 4.5" tires gives the Beargrease a large footprint for traction and flotation while the larger wheel diameter provides excellent rollover on rough terrain.

With clearance for 27.5 x 4.5", 26 x 4.8", and 29 x 3.0" tires, the new Beargrease brings together the capabilities of Salsa's previous Beargrease, Heyday!, and Mukluk platforms in one bike. The result is a versatile fat bike that can handle everything from snowy singletrack and deep winter riding to year-round trail use.

The carbon frame and Bearpaw Carbon 2 fork keep weight down while providing the strength and mounting options needed for everything from fast trail rides to loaded adventures. SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission provides precise electronic shifting, while the dropper post and powerful hydraulic brakes keep the bike ready for technical terrain.
