The Salsa Cycles Cowchipper Drop Handlebar is an elegant solution to the demand of increased comfort and control that gravel and adventure bikes necessitate. The 24 degree flare in the drops offer a nice change of pace for your hands and wrists on a long ride, while boosting leverage and stability. The lightweight, durable 6061-T6 aluminum construction, and 120mm clamping width, make the Cowchipper an ideal bike packing companion if the Woodchipper is a bit much for your tastes.

The width and flare of Salsa Cowchipper Handlebars can often make wrapping them with the standard two rolls of tape a challenge. We recommend picking up the Salsa Cycles Glyph Tape. Glyph Tape is cut slightly longer to accommodate the longer, flared out handlebars.

The cowchipper is my new favorite bar. The shorter reach and shallower drop provides numerous hand positions without having to change my overall body position too much. The brake hoods are angled slightly in...the perfect amount in my opinion. I love the control of the flared drops, especially when my hands are on the very ends of the bar. Nice wide width options too. I ordered a second cow chipper for my winter bike. Thank you Tree Fort Bikes!
