The Salsa Alternator 135 Low Deck Rear Rack fits Salsa bikes with 135mm-spaced Alternator dropouts and a non plus-sized tire. The Salsa Alternator 135 Low Deck Rack features a lower and narrower deck for a lower center of gravity and better heel clearance that still clears tires up to 29x2.1" (without fenders), as well as 700c and fender set ups.
The Salsa Alternator 135 Low Deck Rear Rack is made from light but strong 6061 T-6 Aluminum and has an average weight of 765g. Carrying capacity for the rack is 59.5 lbs (27kg). The top platform measures 12.5x5.3".
NOTE: Deck requires a minimum of 320mm clearance from seatstay mounting points. A Salsa Rack-Lock seat collar is needed for frames without upper seatstay mounts. Salsa provides instructions here.

I had the standard alternator rack on my vaya travel previously, and this one is a bit better for my particular setup. The deck isn't as wide, but since it's lower, my sleeping kit won't molest my rear end as I ride. Good solid rack, the best and most sturdy aluminum rack I've ever dealt with, no movement at all and it feels very rigid. Protect it from the hard plastic on your panniers, they'll chew away at it slowly over time.
