SRAM's GX Eagle group is their latest 12-speed ultra wide gear range group and is designed for more of an everyday rider vs the more race oriented XO1 and XX1 groups.
The
SRAM GX Eagle Crankset uses the same direct mount X-SYNC 2 chainring as the XO1 and XX1 Eagle groups that features an updated tooth profile for better chain retention and improved mud shedding over the original X-SYNC chainrings. While they are compatible with
SRAM''s 12-speed Eagle drivetrain, the X-SYNC 2 chainrings are backward compatible with 1x10 and 1x11 drivetrains. The direct mount chainring design eliminates the need for a crank spider and chainring bolts which reduces weight and opens up gear range options previously not capable with a traditional chainring design.
The
SRAM GX Eagle Crank Arms are made from 7000 series forged aluminum. The backsides of the crank arms have been relieved to remove excess material and increase arm stiffness. This
GX Eagle Crank is designed for
Boost spaced mountain bikes that have 148mm rear hubs and have a 52.0mm chainline. The GXP spindle is compatible with the
SRAM Team GXP and
PF92 bottom brackets.
