asked by: a guest will this setup work with shamano bb70
A.
anwered by: canteau The SRAM GX 1000 will work on the same frame as the Shimano crankset, but you will need to replace the bottom bracket because SRAM GXP cranks have a spindle that tapers from 22-24mm and Shimano cranks have a straight 24mm spindle.

asked by: a guest SRAM says GX is boost compatible. Can I use this with a non boost frame and 68mm BB?
A.
anwered by: canteau SRAM makes 2 versions of the GXP GX1000 crank, one for conventional rear spacing and one for Boost. Boost frames, hubs and cranks have a wider chainline than a conventional mountain bike drivetrain so while it will "work" on a conventional frame it will not be ideal. This version of the GX 1000 crank however is designed to work with a conventional rear MTB spacing and will work great with your non-boost frame.
