SID has stood on so many podiums you'd think it would stay complacent in its wins. But Rock Shox''s most famous cross country fork is fitter than ever, determined to defend it''s titles. Increasing stiffness with 32mm 7000 series aluminum upper tubes, forged aluminum crown, and magnesium lowers with Power Bulge means you can push SID harder, and fatigue less in your chase of the podium.
So what is 51mm G2 offset all about? Simply put, it''s a longer rake on the fork, or the measurement of how far forward the axle is in relation to the steering axis. 51mm forks are 29er specific, to quicken steering response without needing to increase the head tube angle.
SID XX features Rock Shox''s most advanced Motion Control DNA hydraulic damping and includes the XLoc hydraulic remote. With 3 distinct settings; open, threshold, and lock, you can quickly manipulate damping performance for changing trail needs. Open allows the fork to eat up bumps without flinching, threshold offers higher pedaling efficiency while still allowing moderate bump compliance for faster trail sections, and lock is the ultimate for pedaling efficiency for long climbs and smooth trail sections.
Rock Shox''s Solo Air technology is an extremely durable air spring system that allows both positive and negative air chambers to be simultaneously filled through a single valve, making suspension setup nice and simple while keeping weight down and ride quality plush. Air and sag guides are printed right on the fork for easy setup with nothing more than a shock pump.
