The Ritchey WCS Switch Upper Headset is a core component of the innovative Ritchey Switch System, designed to route cables, wires, and hydraulic lines internally from the handlebar into frames with straight 1.5 head tubes and tapered 1-1/8 -1.5 forks. Working in conjunction with the Ritchey Switch Stem and spacers, it allows full internal integration while preserving the smooth, unrestricted function of the headset bearings.
Cables enter the headset conduit beneath the Switch Stem, pass through the front-facing openings of the headset spacers, and continue through dual channels on top of the headset into the frame - all without interfering with headset bearing performance.
