The Viscacha™ (vis-KA-cha) does it all. Take it on the Great Divide Route, the Iditarod trail, or long day trips.
The roll down opening allows the bag to easily expand or compress in volume. A removable internal compression strap aids in packing and closure, dual seat post gripper wrap attachments give a super stable attachment. High density foam stiffens up the seat post connection and a flexable plastic bottom sheet adds support along the bags length.
Beefy where it needs to be, lightweight where it does not.
Carbon seatpost friendly
Sizing:
You need a minimum of 8" clearance from saddle rails to top of tire. Minimum length of exposed seat post is 5"
Note: If you run your saddle all the way foreword on the rails the bag will rise above the saddle in the back due to the sharper angle between the seat post and saddle attachment.

Pack has plenty of room and compresses nicely when you don't have the pack full. Is very well designed and made of very durable material. It does take up more space than I anticipated. Riding trails I prefer to have my seat a little lower. Perfect for longer trips! I am very impressed with Revelate Design packs.
I have experience with other Revelate stuff and have seen mostly positive reviews, so I was expecting a quality piece of gear. I was concerned, though, whether the bag would fit my bike. Revelate's web site indicates 8" is needed between saddle and tire, and I was cutting it close.
Fortunately, the bag fits fine on both my Mukluk and my Vaya, so I'm happy there. The quality is very nice, and the bag is secure once installed. I also own a similar bag from Banjo Brothers, and the Revelate is far superior in terms of function, fit and ease of use. Of course, the Revelate is far more expensive, too.
The only real downside of the product so far is that it costs a lot. Then again, Revelate and the other people putting out bags like this are very small companies (or just individuals) and don't have the luxury of pumping out enough of these to make it worthwhile without pricing them high. Besides, I'd spend as much or more if I went the rack/pannier route.
